गुरु की महिमा ( Glory of Guru )

चरन कमल बन्दों गुरु राई
गुरु आसन सर्वोच्च धरा पे |
मो समनीच गुरु करी मिताई ||

I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence. The guru’s place is on top of the planet’s status. I am inferior, but the guru initiated and made me his friend. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

पशु भांति जीवन था मेरा|
दीक्षा दी मैं देखा परछाई ||
चरन कमल……………..

My life was like an animal. Guru initiated me into Kriya Yoga and made me a gentleman on day one; he showed me a shadow of a param guru, which I understood six months later. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

ऐसी कृपा गुरु पतित पावन पे |
अल्प काल क्रिया विधि पाई ||

Guru showered kindness over me and made me pure from a sinner. In a brief period, I obtained what I wanted to achieve. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

झूठा अहम्, वहम कुल ऊँचा |
निकल गई सब, मेरी ठकुराई ||

I was ignorant of my ego and had a myth about my birth in a high-status heritage and position. Ignorance of highly praised -status vapourised away, which was temporary. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

झूठी शान सिर उठ कर बोले |
अज्ञान जला, गुरु दियासलाई ||
चरन कमल…………………..

I used to become happy with my false praise and glory. Guru burnt this ignorance with the matchbox of his insights. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

उपकार उच्च गुरु साथ मेरे कीन्हा|
दरिया मस्त गुरु मोय अब्धि मिलाई ||

I am deeply grateful to my Guru, who developed insights within me to merge in the infinite. I offer prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.

गुरु सीख न, पर यकीन क्रिया पर |
मौन रहें गुरु, पर लोचन सिखलाई ||

Guru does not believe in delivering discourses to disciples and insists on regular kriya practice. He prefers to remain silent and communicates with learning disciples with his eyes. I offer my prayer to Guru’s lotus feet in reverence.
